Master-Class with Alexander Brunkovsky

We invite you to Berlin for a non-profit screening of "Italian Wedding" (2003, 44 min), a film dedicated to the world-famous screenwriter Tonino Guerra.
This is the story of the Italian poet, writer and artist Tonino Guerra and his Russian wife Laura - a story full of love and humour.

Tonino Guerra worked with many great film directors like Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, Vittorio De Sica, Bernardo Bertolucci and Andrey Tarkovsky. It is impossible to imagine world cinema without the films that were co-created by Tonino Guerra. His muse and wife Laura Guerra was always by his side.

"For twenty five years, I felt like Cinderella who arrived at a fabulous party..." - says Laura in the film. The film is about a girl's dream which has become reality in the most incredible way. An Italian prince steps out of the screen directly into the life of our Russian heroine...

Alexander Brunkovsky, a famous Russian scriptwriter, film director and artist, will give us the unique opportunity to be absorbed into the life and creative work of great master Tonino Guerra. Alexander Brunkovsky, admiring Tonino Guerra’s multi-faceted world of creativity, transferred to the screen the deep respect for his artistic work, unusual life and extraordinary nature. The creative period spent together with his friend and teacher Tonino Guerra, gave him the possibility to reflect nature depth of characters into the documentary.

A non-profit screening of the documentary "Italian Wedding" (2003, 44 min) will be followed by Q&A with director Alexander Brunkovsky.
